Kron Chocolatier Has Built Up a Loyal List of Chocolate Loving Patrons Since the 1980s.
Three decades ago, New York City patrons were fascinated by the hand dipped fresh fruit, the legendary Budapest Crème Truffle, and the huge display of hand-crafted chocolate sculptures and customized chocolate bars. Kron Chocolatier also developed another thing that fascinated New Yorkers: a glimpse of Chocolatiers at work ... handcrafting ... chopping ... mixing fruits and nuts, popcorn and pretzels ... and packing gift baskets. Peering through a glass wall, patrons could see, in mouth-watering detail, the process of sculpting, shaping, and molding the chocolates, as well as the process of strawberries being hand-dipped in a vat of swirling chocolate.
Today, located at bigger premises Great Neck on Long Island, patrons can still see the chocolate kitchen in the thick of action, producing truffles, customized chocolate bars, kosher parve chocolates, chocolate-coated pretzels, and popcorn and cookies.
