The trufles all melted together in transit, despite being packaged in a padded bag with an ice pack. The ice pack was completely warm when package arrived. (See attached photo.)

I grew up eating these in DC - my dad got my mom a box every year for Valentine’s Day and I remember them being the best thing. I wondered if they still existed and found that they had moved to Long Island! I ordered my mom a 1lb box for Mother’s Day. She was thrilled and immediately knew what they were just from the packaging. Taste exactly the same as 20 years ago!

Only mildly disappointed in these truffles that I have ordered from the Krons store that was previously located in the Mazza Galleria mall here in the DC area. When that closed, I ordered for a couple of years from the owner that moved to Annapolis MD. Could not find her this year and thought I had found her/these in New York. Maybe, maybe not. There were a lot of very small pieces (almost scraps), missing the amount of dusting I usually experienced, and a slightly different taste. Would still order these again, but miss the others. Would love some feedback as to the situation.

I have loved these truffles since 1984 and am still ordering them. Melting them in my mouth at room temperature is a flavor to be enjoyed with your eyes closed. You don't want any other distractions from the flavor. So good you don't want to swallow as that means the taste will be leaving soon.
I purchased these truffles as a gift. There was a slight mix-up with the order, but Kron (Marnie) very kindly sent me the correct box. The recipient said the truffles were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend Kron, both for quality of the chocolates and for their amazing customer service.
I used to order these all the time, any time of year too (even in the summer heat with standard shipping!). They used to be packaged with each chocolate in an individual paper and then tightly packed into a very sturdy cardboard box, so they would hold their shape even if softened in delivery. Evidently this is no longer the case as they now come set loosely a cheap plastic form within a flimsy box that easily bulges and does not hold its form. This allows for the softened chocolates to fall out of their place and melt together in clumps over the dividers of the plastic tray. The result is shown in the photo. So disappointed that standards have been dropped so much, especially given the price. Well, on the plus side, they do still taste delicious.
I hadn't had Kron truffles for years. I was telling friends about them and checked online to find I could order them online. $85 for a pound of truffles and the photo below shows how they were delivered. All melted and mushy! Packed badly with very little insulation, they were virtually ruined. I immediately emailed Kron to tell them but have yet to have a response. I am a very unhappy customer and won't be returning. They could at least have responded to my email with an apology! What a rip off.

I just want to say that I have just been reintroduced to Kron's wonderful Budapest truffles after many years, and I cannot think of a better way to express my delight except to send them to others to enjoy (which I have just done to a dear friend for her 80th birthday)! Years ago, my husband discovered Kron Chocolatier in Washington, DC, and every year on Valentine's Day brought home Budapest truffles for me (well, the family!). Sadly, after he passed away 17 years ago, with the children grown and long gone from the house, that tradition ended, and I had not tasted any chocolate that came close to that kind of perfection since. This year, my daughter, who now lives in Sarasota, FL, thought of Kron chocolates, went online and found Kron and ordered the Budapest truffles for me while I am here visiting her during the winter months. When they came, we both took one look and just squealed with joy to see those cute little powdery misshapen chocolate beauties that we remembered so well! Then, there was the first bite, that delicious Proustian moment that evoked so many happy past memories! And Marnie, for me and my daughter, and I really believe, for anyone who tries them, these truffles truly are the essence of love! So, thank you for reaching out! I am so grateful that the Kron tradition continues and grateful that it has once again become a part of my life!

I lived in Potomac in 1988 when I first tasted Kron Belgian Creme Truffles. I have been a bit obsessed with them since. They are unctuous, sweet and envelop the mouth. They are the same today as they were 34 years ago. Old world class. I met my future wife at MC Station 10. We moved to AZ and have a very strict policy of your truffles AT LEAST 3 times a year. This picture doesn't have a box of truffles in it, but it bears testimony to my 3 Chix and their commitment to better living through choosing excellent chocolate for any reason. If you haven't tried it, you are ignorant, or a fool!
Krön Budapest Truffles are the best that I’ve ever come across. They’re worth every cent! My only problem with this exceptional product is… an opened box is an empty box!
A truly phenomenal chocolate. My first experience with krone chocolate was in 1983. I still remember eating a truffle and having the sensation of a solid turning to liquid on your tongue.

We've loved Kron chocolates since we met Tom Kron back in the 1980's. His Budapest Truffles are superb and we otherwise don't particularly like truffles.
